Former State Police Superintendent Colonel Ann Assumpico Supports Seth Magaziner for Congress

PRESS RELEASE >>

WARWICK, RI- Today General Treasurer and congressional candidate Seth Magaziner earned the endorsement of Colonel Ann Assumpico, who served Rhode Island honorably as State Police Superintendent, the highest law enforcement position in the State of Rhode Island.

“During my time as Superintendent of the State Police I found Treasurer Magaziner to be a strong partner and supporter of law enforcement in our efforts to keep Rhode Islanders safe, and I am proud to support him in this race for Congress,” said Colonel Ann Assumpico.

As General Treasurer, Magaziner worked with police officers across the state to help hundreds of victims of domestic violence relocate from their abusers with assistance from the Crime Victims Compensation Fund in his office, helped pass common sense gun reform including red flag laws which empower police officers to temporarily confiscate firearms from individuals who are a danger to themselves or others, and strengthened the state’s pension system so that police officers and other first responders have a secure retirement.

In Congress, Magaziner will support funding for police departments to ensure there are enough police officers on the streets and that they have the equipment and support they need to do their jobs in service to the community.

Supporters are encouraged to visit sethmagaziner.com and to follow Magaziner’s campaign on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
