Magaziner Earns Endorsement of Teamsters Local 251

PROVIDENCE, RI- General Treasurer and congressional candidate Seth Magaziner today won the endorsement of Teamster Local 251, representing thousands of Rhode Island workers.

“Treasurer Magaziner has been a consistent advocate and supporter of hardworking Rhode Islanders during his time in office,” said Teamsters Local 251 Principal Officer Matthew Taibi. “Seth supports the right to organize for better working conditions and has stood in solidarity with our members on picket lines. We are supporting Seth because he always fights for working families and that is the kind of leader Rhode Island needs in Washington.”

Magaziner has used the Office of the General Treasurer to promote economic opportunity, create jobs and help Rhode Islanders find financial stability. Magaziner has been a strong supporter of work environment protections, cracking down on worker misclassification, and has committed to supporting the Protecting the Right to Organize Act when he becomes Congressman.

“We need to do everything we can to stand up for Rhode Island workers so they have a fair shot at achieving the American Dream,” said General Treasurer and congressional candidate Seth Magaziner. “I thank the Teamsters Local 251 for this endorsement and look forward to working with them in Congress to create jobs, improve wages and working conditions and protect the right for workers to organize.”
